Powdered Nail Polishes
Dissolve the soap;
in the water and to the solution add the zinc-chloride solution until no
further precipitation occurs. Let stand over night; pour off the supernatant
fluid, wash the precipitate well with water, and dry at the ordinary
temperature. Carmine may be added if desired.
(1). White castile
soap
. 1 part
Hot water
.. 16 parts
Zinc chloride solution, 10 per cent, quantity sufficient.
