Melt the
wax, add the borax, and stir until an emulsion has been formed. In
another
pan melt the spermaceti; add the varnish, previously mixed with
the turpentine; stir well
and add to the wax; lastly add the colors.
Yellow
wax or ceresine .... 3 ounces
Spermaceti .... 1 ounce
Oil of turpentine .. .. 11 ounces
Asphaltum varnish . .. 1 ounce
Borax .. 80 grains
Frank fork black ... 1 once
Prussian blue ....150 grains
