Metal Polish

1. – Water…………….............            15 gallons
Triethanolamine……................            ½ pound
Oleic acid……………..............             1 pound
Naphtha……………….............             8 gallons
Clay or chalk…………............       5 to 8 pounds
Strong ammonia……..............             1 pint

Dissolve the Triethanolamine in the water and then stir in the chalk. In a separate container mix to uniformity the naphtha and oleic acid and add it to the first mixture. When a smooth emulsion has been obtained add the ammonia and sir slowly till uniform.

2. – Talc………………............        2½ pounds
Naphtha……………….............           2 gallons
Water………………….............           2 gallons
Ceresine wax…………............           1 pound
Turpentine…………….............           1 quart

Stir the talc in the water and in another vessel heat together avoiding open flames, the naphtha, turpentine and wax and stir till uniform. To it add the water and talc mixture and stir to uniformity.
